Another gorgeous day for riding here. Sorry for doing this but here is yet another installment of why it's so great to be able to live and ride here... Got out a little later than usual, sat around in the chamois for a few hours before I just got up, grabbed the bike and bolted. Today was a pretty chill hour and a half but the main reason I wanted to get out was to get the first ride in on the new Shimano Dura-Ace C35 wheels. More on them later, here's a few pics from our Paradise Loop...
Nothing like new tubular wheels, begging to get out...
The first stop here is more than halfway around the 25ish mile loop. This is in Tiburon, right next to the ferry. Not a bad backdrop for the KOBH
Just look up and left from the other picture above and you see a bit of Angel Island to the left and of course San Francisco dead ahead...
Then head through the back streets of Tiburon, near the police station and hang a left and quick right at the roundabout. Head up the hill and stop here. Not only is this one of the craziest pieces of property I've seen, the view to Sausalito and all the boats is not too bad either.
Flip the KOBH around and there is Mt. Tam. Above Category is right at the base...
You know, I forgot where I took this one, but no matter, pretty sweet...
