We are very excited to announce a very limited edition bike that we’ve made in conjunction with Campagnolo in Italy and Baum Cycles in Australia recently. Our goal with Darren Baum was to make a special bike that brought together a few of our favorite things; the Giro de Italia, Campagnolo and the finest in frame technology regardless of the material. While two of those things make sense being together, Campagnolo and the Giro both being very Italian, you’d think that maybe we’d find an Italian bike manufacturer to complete the trifecta. And while some of our favorite frames are indeed Italian, the very best just happens to be from Australia right now.
This is a celebration of everything that is great in Cycling; the perfect race, the perfect components and an Australian frame manufacture that has deep ties to the same person who is leading that great event!
But, good for us there is a connection that makes perfect sense. If you are paying attention to the Giro de Italia that is going on right now a certain Australian happens to be in the pink leaders jersey of that race. And this Australian by the name of Cadel Evans also lives very near the Baum factory. To make it even more interesting, Cadel owns more than one Baum, so as you can see, this is about as appropriate as it gets! So, this is a celebration of everything that is great in Cycling; the perfect race, the perfect components and an Australian frame manufacture that has deep ties to the same person who is leading that great event! And without sounding like a fortune teller, we knew this would be the case almost a year ago when we planned this bike with Baum and Campagnolo…
The Tricolor for Campagnolo and Pink of the Giro goes very well with the matte carbon of the Bora…
The bikes will be built with the choice of 3T’s ErgoNova, ErgoSum or Rotundo Team bars.
The bikes also include the recovered saddle and hand stitched bar tape by Australia’s own Busyman. The components will be full 80th Anniversary Campagnolo Super Record with the Bora wheels and Vittoria Tubulars.
Each frame is the top of the range Baum Corretto and is built with the last possible detail taken into account.
For any other questions regarding this limited edition bicycle please don’t hesitate to contact us directly! Thanks for reading and we hope you enjoyed. Now, go cheer Cadel!
