Every day we get to unveil a new Prova Cycles build is a great day, and today is certainly no exception. Our latest is this blue steel all-road beauty, ready to take on the terrain of the San Francisco Bay area and beyond—be it paved or not. Let's dive into the details of the stunning Australian built machine.
The Molti is Prova's all-road platform, sitting between the Speciale and Razzo road bikes, and the Mostrio big tire gravel bike. It blends tight and balanced handling of on both pavement and dirt, with enough tire clearance to tackle all but the gnarliest of gravel trails.
This one is steel, clearly custom built for a tall rider, and is full of iconic Prova features. Elegantly machined headtube, 3D printed seat collar, beautifully executed internal routing... the list goes on. The paint is just as well executed as the frame craftsmanship. A subtle two-tone blue fade, paired with accents to match the Chris King matte bourbon.
Speaking of bourbon, the limited Chris King finish was clearly a theme of this bike as well. R45 hubs, T47 bottom bracket, and InSet headet are all tied together by the custom paintwork on this machine.
An Enve compact road handlebar provides steering control. The bars have proven to be incredibly compliant, making them an excellent choice for any all-road or gravel build. They're wrapped in black tacky Fizik tape, and attached to a custom painted Fizik R1 stem. A Fizki Alliante Versus Evo 00 saddle provides the perch, and is mounted atop a Thomson Elite post.
The drivetrain is a sensible, yet refined ensemble of mechanical Sram. The Force 1 system is a time-tested, workhorse kit, perfect for a bike like this where each ride's duration and destination will often be unknown. The 10-42 cassette is linked up to the new Force AXS power meter crank with a 40t ring. For that extra bit drivetrain smoothness, the Force derailleur has been outfitted with Ceramicspeed pulleys.
Custom, handbuilt wheels are what you'll find here. The aforementioned bourbon King R45s are laced up to a set of Enve G23 rims. Silver Sapim spokes tie it all together. Panaracer 38c Gravel King SKs were the tires of choice. They've proven to have consistent performance between road and dirt, making them an excellent choice for an all-road steed.
As we head into summer, this beautiful Prova Molti is the perfect rig for all day adventures. Pavement, trail, and anything in between, it's a bike that can take it all on, and do so in style. We can't wait to get reports back after its initial adventures.
