Description

This Bastion Road pairs 3D-printed titanium lugs with filament-wound carbon tubes, creating a chassis that is both structurally precise and visually unmistakable. The custom geometry (approximately 52cm, best suited for riders 5’7”–5’11”) is built around Bastion’s integrated front end: a printed titanium stem bonded to a carbon bar with titanium reinforcement, fully internal routing, and a fork that blends a titanium crown and dropouts with carbon legs. The result is an exceptionally solid front end, stiff under load, accurate through high-speed corners, and remarkably composed during all-out efforts.

The build is anchored by Campagnolo Super Record Wireless and rolling on Campagnolo Hyperon wheels wrapped in 32c Veloflex tubeless tires, offering a rare mix of low weight, depth, and road-smoothing compliance. CeramicSpeed coated bearings throughout—bottom bracket, derailleur pulleys, hubs, headset, and pedals—minimize friction, while titanium hardware across the cockpit and braking system adds durability without unnecessary weight. At 16.6 lbs including pedals, cages, and computer, this is a complete build that balances outright performance with long-ride refinement.

With approximately 2,000 miles ridden, the bike is well proven but carefully maintained. It delivers the unique ride quality Bastion is known for: tight, direct power transfer up front, stable tracking at speed, and a stiffness-to-compliance ratio that feels engineered rather than accidental.
