In a world of wireless shifting, disc brakes, and full integration, this build takes a different path—simpler, lighter, and deliberately analog.
David showed up with a clear vision: a rim brake, mechanical drivetrain road bike that climbs like a goat, descends with composure, and doesn’t need a USB cable to work. In a word, “timeless."
So enter the Mosaic RT-1, tailored in titanium, and finished in a stunning Artist Series No.6 Scale scheme. The purple and silver motif is elevated further with a painted-to-match Silca frame pump and Enve carbon cockpit. A Chris King 3D Violet headset provides just the right pop of color.
The build is lean, classic, and purposeful: Campagnolo Super Record 12-speed mechanical, Lightweight Meilenstein Schwarz Edition clinchers, and a painted-to-match Enve cockpit round out this travel-friendly setup.
Interestingly, this bike originally rolled out on Campagnolo Bora WTO wheels, but after experiencing the performance of Lightweight Obermayers on his Pegoretti, David opted to double down. His reward: climbing efficiency, stunning stiffness, and that unmistakable carbon hum.
Every detail is selected with intention. A mechanical gruppo because it’s proven and simple. Rim brakes because they’re light and elegant. A titanium frame to outlast his lifetime.
Built for travel, but at home on any mountain road, David’s Mosaic is a masterclass in restraint—and a perfect reminder that usually, less is more.
