BOTW: A New Wave No. 22 Drifter X

This week we have the pleasure of presenting a fully integrated Drifter X, the first of many new-wave No. 22 bikes featuring 3D-printed stems, headset top caps and spacers we've been building for clients across the US and beyond in the past few months.  

THE BUILD

Frameset: No22 Drifter X
Group: SRAM Red/Mullet group with ee-wings titanium crankset
Wheels: Custom built, ENVE G23 rims and White Industry CLD hubs
Tires: Challenge Getaway 700X45c
Saddle: Fizik Vento Argo, R1, Adaptive
Ceramic: Ceramicspeed coated bb, titanium coated standard size pulley wheels, coated hub bearings and coated headset bearings
Cockpit: Black Inc bar, No22 printed stem and a custom No22 titanium seat mast topper
Pedals: Shimano XTR with Meti titanium axles and ceramic bearings.
Titanium: Stem bolts, bottle cage bolts, brake pad retaining pins, brake caliper bolts, front derailleur mounting bolts, 2X stem bolts, and seat mast topper bolt
Weight: 18.5 lbs (includes pedals, both bottle cages and computer)

Frameset

A No. 22 Drifter X with custom geometry, No. 22 gravel fork, No. 22 custom printed titanium stem, headset top cap and spacers and printed seat mast topper, also in titanium. The frame features a charcoal Cerakote finish with highly polished and raw titanium. BB is T47. Dropouts are the brand's new printed offerings.

Drivetrain

We used a mix of SRAM Red, SRAM XX-1, Ceramicspeed and ee-Wings titanium cranks with a Woolf Tooth chainring. And in typical AC fashion, we stripped and waxed the chain. The pedals are Shimano XTR upgraded with our Meti titanium axles complete with ceramic bearings.

Cockpit

This Drifter X is the first No. 22 we built with the brand's new printed stem. Bolted to that is a Black Inc bar. And atop the custom No. 22 seat mast topper is a Fizik Vento Argo Adaptive saddle.

Wheels

Polished titanium calls for ultra-polished White Industry CLD hubs, woven with silver spokes secured to a stealth pair of ENVE G23 rims. Challenge Getaway tires - tubeless, of course - lay down the law. Titanium valve stems complete the package.

Much titanium. Lashings of ceramic. Almost too nice to get dirty. Almost.
