The ultimate XTR pedal upgrade. Read more
What do you get when you take the time-proven Shimano XTR pedal - a love-letter product that has yet to be beaten and probably never will - and upgrade it with a titanium axle and ceramic bearings? Something spectacular, that’s what.
At AC, we love upgrades. And if there is a way to make a bike lighter, longer lasting and lovelier, we will seek it out. So when we found Meti Titanium and the artist Dante Codeluppi, we knew we’d found someone with a passion for upgrades to rival our own.
Dante makes replacement axles for popular bike products, like the XTR pedals. We take his aftermarket top-grade titanium axles with hybrid ceramic bearings and retrofit them to a pair of XTR pedals. Not only do the resulting pedals weigh 47g less than a stock set of XTRs (that’s gram-accurate), but thanks to their uprated bearings, they roll smoother, too.
Naturally, this upgrade won’t appeal to all. But if you’re looking for the best, lightest or flat-out flashiest ride in town, the Meti XTR upgrade is right up your alley.
