While the winter months are cold and tough, we're here to stoke your motivation with this full gas road build. This week we're sharing our latest Pinarello build, a frosty fresh Pinarello Dogma that's ready to heat things up.
At this point, the F12 needs no introduction. However, this is our first build in this color and we must say, we're big fans. A velvety matte white, accented by shimmery blue graphics. Technically, Pinarello calls it "Sideral Grey" but regardless, it simply looks good.
The frame looks great on its own, but built up it's even better.
As you'd imagine, the cockpit is comprised of the proprietary Most components. A black Talon Ultra one piece bar stem handles the steering at the front. We ended up needing to swap out the matching white seat post for a zero-offset model, but we found the contrast of the bare carbon to be a nice touch. Sitting atop if the futuristic Fizik Arione Adaptive saddle.
An Italian brand frame is surely deserving of an Italian drivetrain. Campagnolo Super Record is certainly a perfect fit. With today's fully internalized cable routing, electronic shifting and hydraulic brake lines make a lot of sense. Perfect gear changes and reliable stopping, no matter how complicated the path of the cables. Coastal Northern California has no shortage of steep climbs, so range in the gearing was key. An 11-32t cassette with 52/36t rings get the job done. Those rings are also attached to an SRM power meter so efforts can always be closely watched.
When instant acceleration and scant weight are of priority, the Lightweight Meilenstein Evos are always a top choice. Mated to a set of 28c Vittoria Corsa tubeless tires, they've got grip and comfort for days.
The Finishing Touches
A number of fine details finish off this premium steed. The Super Record rear mech received a Ceramicspeed OSPW upgade. The bars are topped off with the grippy yet minimalist Fizik tape and capped with EE bar plugs. Ceramic Look Keo Blades are the pedals of choice.
A satisfyingly sleek dedicated road machine, ready to it the pavement at speed. When it comes to a dialed Pinarello build, it doesn't get much better than this. If a Dogma of your own has been calling your name, drop us a line and we'd be happy to get you sorted out!
