A new year, a fresh start. We're excited to kick 2021 off with a brand new build that's equally classic as it is contemporary. An anodized green No22 Great Divide. Yes, it's titanium, yes it's got rim brakes, but this sure as hell isn't your grandpa's Merlin. Follow along as we get into the details.
The Great Divide
The Great Divide is No22's premium full titanium road platform. Thanks to CNC butted tubing, the oversized bi-ovalized downtube, t47 bottom bracket shell, and 22mm chainstays, it's got plenty of snap, while still riding a touch smoother than the Reactor. This really highlights titaniums legendary characteristics. The Great Divide see some of No22's signature details like their oversized headtube and proprietary fork, as well as their heavily relived dropouts. This bike here is finished off with their green anodized graphics, which for the record look damn good.
The Cockpit
A key aspect to the Great Divide is the inclusion of No22's titanium seatpost. The flex and comfort of a ti post are more than welcome, and the continuation of the anodized graphics really lend to a complete look. At the front end, we've outfitted the build with a Deda Zero 100 cockpit.
The Drivetrain
To match the smoothness and beauty of the handcrafted titanium frame, it seemed fitting to build it up with no less than a Campagnolo Super Record EPS drivetrain. Buttery shifts across all 12 gears and, at least in our opinion, it's the most gorgeous kit to be found.
The Wheels
And what wheels have we fitted to this stunner of a rig? Enve 3.4s are just the right fit. Excellent braking, amply aero, manageable in all winds, and light enough to tackle any climb. Wrapping them up are a set of our much beloved Vittoria Corsas. Tan wall, 25c. Classic.
The Extras
Completing the build, are No22s headset, Argonaut T47 Campagnolo bottom bracket cups, and the custom matched titanium King Cages.
A classic silhouette, premium ti ride quality, and grade A styling. We're certainly glad to see this build come to life and roll it out as our first featured bike of the year! Is this the year to get a No22 of your own? Drop us a line and we'll get you squared away.
