Floor Sales & Customer Experience 

Overview:

Are you a driven sales person who is obsessive about cycling? This role is for the person who has a proven retail sales track record and is looking for an opportunity to join a high-performance, results-oriented, socially-conscious culture. This is a business-building career opportunity.

We are looking for a floor sales person to greet, get to know, and serve as guide to our clients as they familiarize themselves with how Above Category can make their experience with cycling more enjoyable and fulfilling, from dressing correctly for varied weather, to selecting the right bike, to knowing where to ride and with whom. In this position you are our front-line with clients whom either walk through the door, call-in or purchase online. Your product specialty will be our clothing & soft goods. Your follow up with clothing purchasers is key to building long-term client relationships. You are also in charge of assessing interest in bike purchases or other AC services, and guiding the client to the appropriate team member. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

This position is about driving revenue to the company, and upholding the AC brand.

  • Staff the retail floor as first-in-line greeter 5 days per week
  • Cleanliness of displays and clear/complete/attractive merchandising
  • Follow daily opening and closing procedures
  • Sell clothing and other soft goods
  • Serve as liaison for Sales & Service
  • Reorder front-of-the-house inventory (in coordination with Operations & Service)
  • Customer service outreach to both in-store and online clothing purchasers

 

Requirements

  • Be more than passionate about cycling: be obsessive about the sport
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent sales experience, preferably in high-end retail
  • Amazing communicator with the power to influence people
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve goals
  • Desire to live and be the brand’s message in your own approach to the sport of cycling Fastidious in attention to detail
  • Comfort with MSFT Excel

Compensation

Commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position.

Project Manager 

Overview:

Above Category is hiring a Project Manager who is detail-oriented, innovative, and resourceful to work with other passionate creatives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

This role is for the person who is interested in contributing to the development, sourcing selection, and delivery of products sold in our distinct retail concept and through our online property. Overall, Project Management responsibilities include being the primary interface between manufacturers, vendors and our own internal sales & service teams. This includes developing and supporting vendor relationships, tracking purchasing and production of goods (primarily, but not limited to all the moving parts involved in producing fully built custom bikes), and supporting the sales team in the delivery of customer purchases. A portion of the role consists in fulfilling online orders, executing customer service for online customers and taking our e-com customer service to another level by exceeding customer expectations and enhancing their engagement with our brand and store.

Our Project Manager is dedicated to delivering excellence from the time an order is placed for product to the experience the customer has in purchasing and receiving their goods. As part of our team, the Project Manager supports and executes day to day operations of order processing, inventory, logistics, fulfillment, and production, while maintaining strong relationships with our partners and other teams (Sales, Service + Marketing). Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the ordering, transportation and delivery of product between our manufacturers, vendors, customers, and internal teams
  • Maintain clear scheduling of parts ordering and arrival in order to support sales team with handling customer expectations for bike delivery
  • Develop and own our new-bike production & overall work-order calendars
  • Support sales team with quoting of custom bikes, includes thorough knowledge of parts compatibility and up-to-date pricing
  • Receive product from vendors and enter inventory information into LightSpeed adhering to specific procedures and protocols
  • Assist with back stock and inventory procedures and protocols ensuring that inventory is accurate, secure, and organized
  • Track product being returned to vendors and ensure timely processing
  • Assess accuracy of shipments from vendors and coordinate resolution with vendors when errors are identified
  • Aid in improving product intake, product return, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Be point person to filter & funnel customer inquiries to the appropriate team member
  • Lead online order fulfillment, including preparing and packaging customer orders
  • Respond to online customer service inquiries, or inquiries about online orders
  • Actively work to help hone and improve our customer service experience in every touch point, by collaborating with marketing, sales and service

Requirements:

  • Experience with inventory/supply chain/production in a retail, eCommerce, or product company preferred
  • Strong computer skills with advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Lightspeed Retail a plus • Interested in use of productivity/project management tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Detail oriented with strong follow through and a focus on execution
  • Ability to maintain organization and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment.
