Clean, white, and Italian AF. This week we share our latest collaboration with our Venice based friends at Sarto, built for one of our local California riders. The brief was simple—make it fast, make it climb, and make it as Italian as possible. The result was this pearl white Seta Plus. Follow along as we dive into the details.
Hand made in Italy, each and every Sarto is built to order. This one is no different. Snappy handling, clean lines, hidden cables, and plenty of tire clearance. All hallmarks of the Seta Plus line which you will find here. Admittedly, the paint on this one was inspired by our Enve Builders Summit bike, but not without its own unique pearl twist.
The Italian theme of this bike continues through the drivetrain. Front to back, this bike features a full Campagnolo Super Record EPS group. The electronic system neatly routes out of view with in the bike. This ride is surrounded by some of Northern California's most iconic climbing, so we supplied a gear range to support that. The cranks are assembled with compact 50/34t rings while the rear cassette spreads from 11 to 32t. maximal stopping power is achieved through the 160mm rotors. The Time pedals might be the only non Italian components on this build. Sadly, it's been a while since we've seen a set of Campagnolo Pro Fit pedals.
Urus supplies the standard cockpit for all Sarto Seta Pluses. Their handlebars and stem are designed specifically to facilitate the internal routing of the Sarto. For this build we opted for the aero handlebar which combines a comfortable compact bend with a tear drop top profile. At the backside, a paint matched Deda Superlegerra seat post keeps the saddle in place. Sitting on top is a Fizik Argo Temp saddle. Many have adopted the stubby saddle trend and we've been impressed with quite a few of them. What sets apart the Fizik offerings are their signature wing flex feature.
BORA 45 WTO! We love these wheels, and they're the perfect fit for this Italian rig. Fast, stable, and smooth the way only Campagnolo hubs are. Their wide cross section is a fantastic match to support the 28c Vittora Corsa TLR tires. No tubes, less resistance, better compliance, more speed. What else could you ask for?
Front to back, top top bottom, this Italian themed road machine came out absolutely tip top. We've been putting in miles on our test Seta Plus and can say with confidence, our rider is going to absolutely love riding this one. Got an itch for a bike like this of your own? You know who to call, and we'd be happy to guide you through the process.
