A brute for the big mountains. Read more
The Santa Rosa's steep head tube angle, tapered steering tube and short trail make it highly reactive and rigid to optimize the torsional stress handling of the bike. The frame's design and steel construction allow Scarab to meld comfort and speed. But in case you were in doubt, the frame's geometry leans towards aggressive riding, with Scarab's custom fittings underpinning the frame with responsive handling and enough stiffness for explosiveness underfoot.
While climbing big mountains is highly revered in grand races, it requires finding a rhythm. As most cyclists know, the challenge of riding on rolling hills is not to be underestimated. To keep the frame moving forward on a mixed course, the Santa Rosa benefits from oversized-ovalized main tubing and short tapered chain stays that prove to be Scarab's fastest and most reactive road platform.
The Scarb Santa Rosa frame is available with rim brakes and disc brakes, with tire clearance rated to 28mm for rim and 32mm for disc. It also has a fully integrated version for a cleaner look and increased tire clearance to 35mm.
