Description
V5Rs is a WorldTour-caliber chassis that rewards precise input with clean, immediate response. It’s the sharpest-handling Colnago we’ve ridden. More planted in corners than V3Rs, more rigid under load, and lighter in a meaningful way. You can feel it from the first rise out of the saddle. This is a bike built to go fast, and it feels that way under pressure.
We’ve tested V5Rs on fast local circuits, alpine climbs, and wind-exposed valley roads. Across all of it, the ride character holds steady: composed, reactive, aerodynamic enough to matter, and stiff enough to carry torque through each turn of the crank without ever feeling wooden. That’s where this bike stands out. You get the watt transfer of a deep-section aero platform, with handling that feels trimmed and centered through every corner entry and exit.
Fit and position are straightforward thanks to the integrated cockpit system. No fuss, no posture compromises, and a front end that stays quiet at speed. The V5Rs is available with Campagnolo Super Record WRL, Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 Disc 12s, Shimano Ultegra Di2 12s, SRAM Red eTAP AXS, and SRAM Force eTAP AXS. Every group complements the frame differently, but the underlying character remains: this is a modern race bike with serious legs, trimmed of excess, and shaped by actual input from UAE Team Emirates. No myth, no legacy nostalgia—just a frame that delivers when it counts.
