Bike of the Week: Blue is the New Black

Derek Yarra |

Baum Custom Titanium Bicycle side
You might be noticing a theme here this month. Yes, we've unofficially made June the Blue Baum appreciation month. While this might be another blue Corretto, it's certainly one unlike any other you've seen before. A metallic deep navy paint and an unorthodox build make this bike something truly special. Let's dive in and take a deeper look.

We'll start things off with some details of the paint. The dark blue base with the pops of silver make for a dramatic and elegant look.

The trusted Enve handlebar and seatpost. Both expertly painted to match and both topped in Fizik to round out the contact points.

The wheels are another custom job, built for performance and extreme reliability. HED Belgiums laced to debadged DT Swiss hubs. All locked together with a pair of Dura-Ace skewers.

And here, things get a bit interesting. A divine combination of Sram Red and Shimano. ETap controls and derailleus for it's performance and cleanliness. Dura-Ace cranks and brakes. The black finish pairs perfectly with the paint of the bike and the stopping power of the DA calipers is unrivaled.

Another blue Baum? Sure... but a beauty at that. Hopefully, you've enjoyed checking out this bike as much as we've enjoyed building it. As always, if you've got any questions on building up a Baum of your own (blue or otherwise) don't hesitate to give us a call.
