Continuing with this string of featured Baums we bring you another beauty. This remarkably stunning Baum Corretto is a perfect example of simple elegance, and has fine details throughout. Follow along as we dive into the build of this Bike of the Week.
The Frame
Sometimes simple is best. In this case just two colors, blue and white, executed just right. The little details in the paint throughout the frame pull it together and keep it interesting. As with all Corretto frames, the true nature of its excellence is in what you can't plainly see. Premium titanium and custom butted tubing throughout, every aspect is derived from the needs of the rider.Drivetrain
SRAM Red eTap is the perfect group to continue the theme of simple elegance. Upgrading the crank to an SRM THM Claivcula power meter helps keep the weight down and data on track. Eschewing the stock brakes for EEs paired with Jagwire Elite cables make for a boost in both performance and style.Wheels
Custom wheels with Zipp 404 rims and White Industries hubs, one of our favorite house-built combinations. Silver hubs and spokes keep things classy while falling in the the other details of the bike.Little Things
We are fans of subtlety and the little things really set this bike apart. Tucked behind the Clavicula cranks is a Kogel ceramic BB, allowing use of the 30mm spindle on the BSA threaded bottom bracket shell. Again, the the Jagwire Elite brake cables add a tasteful bit of pop to the bike while really improving stopping performance. King Cage titanium bottle cages are as simple as they come but we've yet to find a cage that holds a bottle better. Looking into the rear derailluer cage you will find the beautiful titanium pulley wheels from Ceramicspeed. And that wraps up this weeks edition of Bike of the Week.
