Mark your calendars for Sunday, 4/24 - April's AC Dirt Ride will be one you won't want to miss. Start your Stravas for a 40-mile loop of prime, high-quality dirt that will see us climb some 5000ft. As usual, we'll assemble at 8 am at Equator Coffee in Sausalito for pre-ride libations before rolling wheels at 8.30. The ride is free, but spots are limited, so please RSVP on the event below to save your space.
THE ROUTE
We'll start things off with a casual cruise down the bike path into Mill Valley and a climb up the iconic Railroad Grade, all the way up to East Peak. Then it's a quick transfer on the pavement across East Ridgecrest until we turn back to dirt on Rock Springs/Lagunitas Road. A couple of steep rollers follow until we begin a pleasing roller coaster descent - keep your eyes peeled for a hard left turn midway down onto Rocky Ridge. It's a little rough and rugged but super fun and will bring us down to Lake Bon Tempe. (If you came out to our first ever OSBR, the route will ring a cow bell).
From the lake, we'll enjoy a meandering exploration around the watershed before climbing up Lakeview and Eldridge Grade Fire roads. Then it's down Indian, just like last month. This time, we'll turn onto Hoo-Koo E-Koo to connect back to Railroad Grade and take Gravity Car to reach the Panoramic Highway. With the end in sight, we'll smoke the road south until we reach Miwok and back into the Headlands through Tennessee Valley to return to Sausalito.
