Bikes of the Week: A Spicy Trio of Knockout Mosaics

Derek Yarra |

As summer phases out we wanted to serve up some piping hot titanium goodness from our friends at Mosaic. This week we're here to showcase three scorching builds—an RT-1, an XT-1, and a GT-1—all in their full titanium glory and all sporting bright and poppy knockout paint jobs.

A Spicy Hot Integrated RT-1

Kicking things off is this wild RT-1. Mosaic caused quite a stir last year when they unveiled an RT-1 designed with full cable integration, and this sweet little number is our first build utilizing that design.

We built this up using a Deda Alanera bar stem and an Enve seatpost, paint-matched in stunning pearl orange. It shifts and stops thanks to a Sram Red AXS drivetrain, and rolls on a set of Enve 3.4 AR wheels.

A Revitalized Mosaic XT-1

Next up in the round up is this mean XT-1. This bike is actually a few years old, originally serving as a cyclocross bike (does anyone here still remember cyclocross?) but our rider wanted to give it some new life with a brand new paint job.

Along with the paint, we updated a few aspects of the build to tailor it more to gravel and all-road riding. We matched an XTR Di2 cassette and derailleur with Ultegra Di2 levers for a solid 1x wide range set up, a new Enve cockpit to shave some weight and add some smoothness, and finally some René Herse Barlow Pass tires for fast all terrain rolling. Gotta love how a simple repaint and a few new parts is all it takes to make them feel like a brand new rig!

A Knockout Fade GT-1

A wildly sick GT-1 brings up the rear to close out our tasty trio.  Another zesty orange finish, but this time taken even further by combining it with a fade to gold.

The build features Sram AXS mullet drivetrain - naturally with the bronze chain and cassette - and it even has a Reverb dropper for extra breathing room when the trail gets steep and dicey. It's also rolling on a set of Enve G23s, custom laced to black and gold Chris King R45 hubs.
