This week we share our latest Sarto build, a fast and flashy Lampo Plus. Handbuilt custom carbon done the Italian way, in the form of a high speed aero road bike. Let's dive into the details and see what makes this bold build tick.
The Lampo Plus
Full aero, full integration, full custom. That's what we love about the Lampo Plus. What makes it even better? It rides like a dream too. The hidden cable routing helps showcase the modern lines and really let this wild paint job shine. Did we mention, 30s fit just fine?
The Cockpit
Full integration calls for Sarto's own integrated cockpit. The aero stem and bar are designed specifically for the Lampo Plus package, enabling the internal cabling and maintaining the aero lines. Same goes with the aero seatpost. The custom paint is carried throughout, making for a sharp complete package. Finishing it out is a Fizik Arione 00 saddle and perforated Deda bar tape, which is quickly becoming some of our favorite.
The Drivetrain
For a handbuilt Italian frame, it seemed only fitting to build it out with Campagnolo EPS. Not just an ordinary group, this Super Record drivetrain is outfitted with an SRM power meter and a healthy serving of Ceramicspeed upgrades.
The Wheels
Obviously an aero bike deserves a worthy aero rim pairing. For this build, Enve 5.6 rims were just the right choice. We custom built them to a set of Tune KillHill/ClimbHill hubs. Light, durable, and something a little different. The cut out flanges on the front hub are a nice touch. Keeping things glued to the ground are a pair of Vittora Corsa Control tires. Taking advantage of the bikes ample clearance we went with 700x30c, and sealed them up with just enough Orange Seal to keep flats at bay.
Custom comes in many forms, and this is one we form we love to see. Custom carbon with no shortage of Italian flare and a perfectly curated build to match in style and speed.
