A Stratocaster-playing customer wanted to further his other 'hobby' with the latest from Sarto, the Raso, and we were only too happy to give our happy plucker his heart's desire. In typical Sarto fashion, his bike is custom in every way, from the geometry to the ride feel to the finish.
At the front, Sarto's integrated cockpit affords effortless control. Matching the aesthetic, if not the brand, is a Bjorn Setka 3D printed saddle - the perfect complement to an already featherlight build.
The bike's drivetrain features the ever-reliable Shimano Dura-Ace groupset, augmented with a Ceramicspeed bottom bracket and pulley wheels. Enve's SES 3.4 wheels and Vittoria Corsa Control tires keep the bike well away from flat notes.
The client's original thought was to build an all-black carbon Sarto, but with a bit of coaxing, he decided to introduce some color. Luckily, he had a well-thumbed vintage Fender catalog to hand, and within its pages of Candy Apple Reds and Seafoam Greens his eyes landed upon a 1965 Stratocaster in Daphne Blue and he called it good.
