Factor Build Credit Program – Terms and Conditions
Effective: August 1–31, 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Factor Build Credit Program (“Program”) offered by Above Category (“AC,” “we,” or “us”). By participating, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Program Overview
Customers who purchase a new qualifying Factor bike from Above Category between August 1 and August 31, 2025, are eligible to receive a $1,000 credit (“Build Credit”) to be applied toward upgrades and select merchandise as part of their build process.
2. Eligibility
– Valid only on new purchases of Factor Ostro VAM, Factor Ostro Gravel, or Factor Hanzo models.
– Bike must have a base starting price of $9,400 USD or higher (excluding tax, shipping, and service fees).
– Order must be placed and deposit received during the Program period (August 1–31, 2025).
– Program is open only to individual customers; not available to resellers or bulk buyers.
3. Credit Usage Guidelines
– The Build Credit may be applied toward eligible, in stock (or immediately available) upgrades made at time of purchase. Examples include:

Drivetrain upgrades (e.g., SRAM Red or Force)

Wheel upgrades (e.g., Black Inc, Lightweight)

Cockpit, saddle, and finishing kit upgrades (e.g., Wove, Bjorn, Gemini)

Performance component upgrades (e.g., SRM power meters, Carbon-Ti chainrings, Ceramicspeed parts)

Select accessories and apparel, subject to approval
– The credit cannot be applied toward:

Labor or service charges

Factor bikes below $9,400 base price

Cash discounts, gift cards, or retroactive orders

Any product or vendor explicitly excluded by Above Category
4. Credit Format and Redemption
– Credit is applied directly at time of purchase or at the discretion of AC, may be added to the customer’s account as a store credit.
– Store credit is non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be redeemed for cash.
– Unused credits expire 6 months from issue unless otherwise stated.
5. Discretion and Approval
– Final eligibility of any item for credit use is subject to AC approval.
– AC reserves full discretion to approve, limit, or reject any requested application of credit.
– Availability of specific products is not guaranteed, and substitutions may not be offered.
6. Limitations and Conditions
– Limit one Build Credit per qualifying bike.
– This Program may not be combined with other promotions unless specifically authorized by AC.
– Credits cannot be transferred to other individuals or purchases.
– All sales are subject to AC’s standard terms of sale and return policy.
7. Program Changes and Termination
Above Category reserves the right to:
– Modify or cancel this Program at any time without notice.
– Alter these Terms as needed to clarify intent, expand exclusions, or protect AC’s business interests.
– Revoke credit or reject participation from any customer found to be misusing or attempting to circumvent Program rules.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Above Category shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to participation in this Program. This includes, without limitation, any delays in product availability, inability to redeem the credit, or dissatisfaction with upgrade components.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
