Had a great early ride yesterday morning. Nice and sunny at 7am but cool enough to need a wind jacket. As I rode towards the water the fog started to come in and as if I needed it, reminded me how lucky we all are to be able ride every day in a place as beautiful as this. So, I decided to stop a bunch and soak it all in and take some pictures and it turned out to be one of the best rides I’ve been on in a while. Something to be said for slowing down!
Downtown Sausalito. Sunny here, foggy in San Francisco…
Though the tips of the tallest building were just above the fog…
Then, heading down towards Ft. Baker, the Golden Gate Bridge was looking as magnificent as ever. If you live in Marin and want to have the best start to the day that I can imagine, just start commuting by bike, this will be your wake up on a daily basis…
Gratuitous Baum shot. This is near the coast guard station…
At the top of the headlands the city is coming out of the fog but the bridge is not yet. Leave 20 minutes earlier on your commute and you can get a quick hill climb in for an even better start to the day…
Wish my old camera was up to the task as this shot should have turned out better, but you get the point…
Amazing…
