For our customer, this Mosaic was a first step into the world of custom bikes. Coming from a hybrid with flat pedals, he arrived at AC with an open mind and no strong preferences on components. That gave Chad the opportunity to walk through the options, explain the tradeoffs, and build the bike around how he planned to ride. The result was a Mosaic GT1 iAR with a performance focused approach comprised with a full Campagnolo build.
A two tone design was specifically requested with a bright fusion made for a custom “Lemon / Lime Fade.” The color combo immediately reminded Chad of the iconic Sierra Nevada Pro Team bikes from years past. He always loved those bikes and shared the reference with Mark as the design came together.
For the maiden ride, they headed straight the Headlands and as expected returned covered in dirt, dust, and smiles. For Chad, that was the perfect ending to an especially enjoyable build process: taking someone new to custom bikes, starting with a blank slate, and helping turn an idea into something uniquely theirs.
