At the time of writing, The AC Invitational Bicycle Show on August 31st is only 12 days away, and as you can imagine, we're getting pretty excited. So, in the spirit of sharing the stoke and celebrating cycling's finest makers, here are five awesome things about the show you should know:
- It's Outside on Closed Roads: The show takes place outside on the street in front of the AC Studio in Sausalito. And for one day only, we'll own the whole road, allowing you to safely explore the amazing makers and their dream bikes at your own pace.
- We're UPPING the Ante: In collaboration with our friends at OPEN, we're giving away an OPEN U.P frameset in the winning customer's size. To be in with a chance to ride off with the prize, make sure to visit the show.
- See the World on One Street: From Australia to Colombia, Italy to Germany and the good ol' USA, you can meet the people working at the cutting edge of their craft, with No. 22, Baum, Bastion, Prova, Sarto, Scarab, Mosaic, English Cycles, OPEN, Factor, Enve, Lightweight, Partington, Q36.5 and Pinarello in attendance with their latest and greatest creations.
- Catch a Show Exclusive: Between an Invitational-exclusive release from Sarto and a sneak peek of something circular from Lightweight, there's a lot of fresh fiber to feast your eyes on. Plus, we'll have all the new metal from Prova, Baum, No.22, and Scarab - so much new you'll need a sit-down (and we recommend you do that on a saddle).
- Say Hello to Pro: Legendary Australian rider Phil Anderson will be here as Baum's guest. Phil was the first non-European to wear the yellow jersey of the Tour de France. He's also a man whose Cafe Ride pace is still too strong for mere mortals.
That’s all for now, but stay tuned for updates on the AC social channels (@abovecategory) as the event approaches.
