Red and black might be one of the most standard and safe paint schemes in cycling. Or…anything for that matter. As routine as it might be, it still yields some pretty spectacular bicycles. This time though, we took the black and red and did it a little different. Going full-matte everything, with the right mix of white and grey accents, this Baum came out quite incredibly.
This is what came out of the box from Baum.
We built the bike around the Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 drivetrain. Junction box tidily tucked under the elegant Enve Garmin mount and e-tubes cleanly shrink wrapped.
Some details of Baum’s incredibly tasteful paint mastery with some finishing details of our own.
Enve 3.4 rims on Chris King R45 hubs. Vittoria Corsa’s look great with the grey sidewalls. DA skewers keep everything locked in.
EE Brakes. Get into them.
A Dura-Ace SRM to track the watts and a Ceramicspeed bottom bracket to make sure you’re not losing any.
We’re quite proud of this take on a classic color combination. Sometimes a matte finish really takes things over the top. Thanks for checking in and be sure to reach out if you’ve got any questions on getting a Baum of your own.
